Hi, I’m Patrick Sullivan
Most organizations aren’t struggling with AI itself. They’re struggling with the gap it exposes. I see it everywhere: boards pushing for bold innovation, executives trying to make sense of the risks, and technical teams doing their best with limited guidance. Somewhere along the way, the vision and purpose get diluted, and you’re expected to move forward confidently without a shared understanding, a common language, or a clear way to bring your people with you.
That disconnect is where I do my best work. I help organizations close the gap between the people who set the vision for AI and the people who have to bring that vision to life. In a lot of teams, everyone is working hard, but not always in the same direction. After 25+ years in cybersecurity, compliance, and governance, I’ve learned that systems only succeed when people understand each other, trust the process, and share a clear purpose.
My approach to AI governance is human-centered, practical, and actionable across every level of the organization. I speak the language of the boardroom, the executive team, and the technical builders and translate across all three so your organization can move together. Done well, governance stops feeling like a compliance chore and becomes a culture of clarity, accountability, and human agency.
I also bring this message beyond the boardroom as a TEDx speaker, advisor, and host of The Business of Compliance, where I explore the intersection of technology, ethics, and human behavior.
